  I have been eating at the linden tree for many years, but recently i have stopped eating there due to the disgusting, and revolving meals, aswell as roudey and unpleasant locals, it is meant to be a family pub, yet i would never take my children there again. while eating our leather-like steak and reheated chips, we were put off ever eating there again, my daughter had a burger, which came out so overcooked, yet dripping in grease and fat, making the chips soggy and also the bun soggy. The locals are the worse thing about our experience, apart from the horrible meal, we then had to listen to the loud swearing and shouting of the local alcoholics, despite children being presents in the pub, they all had no problem shouting and swearing when children and elderly people were around them, they all have no matters and no respect, i know of many people who dont want to eat there due to the loudness and lack of respect of the locals. Also, as the some of the staff members, we have never had a bad meal from the cheff, Rachel, but as for any others it has always had something wrong or been horrendous, and for the bar stuff, does the landlady get paid to sit at the tables and drink wine?

  Went there yesterday (bank holiday) with a group of 5 friends the Food was okay. Staff at bar were blunt when spoken to. There was NO cutlery out to use, NO napkins and when asking for them was given stinking looks. Had to pay £25.46 for a meal that whe added up only came to £14.99 on account of nachos (which were overpriced claiming we had 4 portions when in fact had 2) we were not allowed to pay for the food we had individually instead the bill was divided by 5 !!!! when confronting the staff behind bar they unwilling but managed to splash out on a £2.50 refund!!!!. Not happy with experience and won't be coming again. The only positive out of the evening was the chef. Very angry.

  It's very much a local pub. They have a dart board and pool table, and drive k prices are reasonable. Unfortunately food is not up to par.
